  1. no… OTC medication for infants under 2 yrs of age are not recommended, unless a physician advises you to.

  2. NO…. Mucinex is not recommended for children under 12 years old. Never give a child under 2 over the counter medicine without consulting a doctor or nurse. If you don’t have insurance then call your local pharmacy and see what they recommend.

  3. Try putting vicks vaporub on the infants chest-mix it with vaseline to keep it from hurting the tender skin-then cover it with a face cloth and put on the child’s shirt. This will help with the breathing. Try to stay away from medications that dry out the body-they will cause long term damage to the kidneys and liver. Please read the warning on the packages-most medications have undesirable side effects.

  4. No, but they do have kid’s mucinex – which technically you are not supposed to used on anyone under 6, but i used them on my 6 mo. old and the children’s mucinex really helped him.
