Has Anyone Continued To Have Babies, Even Though You Were Real Sick Every Pregnancy?
I am currently pregnant with my 2nd child and am worried that I don’t want more babies just because of how sick I am throughout the pregnancy. Although my 1st pregnancy wasn’t as bad as this one. I know right now is a bad time to decide since I am currently sick, but I hate to feel this way ever again!!!! Help. what did you do?
im on #4 and i was real sick with all three, ive had 3 weeks of full on sickness and off and on now im getting alot of headaches tho. i hate it also but you really do forget and when you go through it again then it all comes back lol.. was your first a boy ? maybe this a girl .. i was double sick with my girls !! everyone different though.. hang in there be strong be over before you know it
Oh try Blackmores morning sickness formula it contains ginger and Vitiman b6, it really does take the edge of it
My sister-in-law was very sick during her pregnancies. Have you tried the sea bands? They can be found in the motion sickness isle and helped me out during my second pregnancy. I threw up every day tacking my oldest to school until I got them. She was still sick, and yes still had to go to the ER a couple times, but they did help. If you haven’t already, try them!! She currently only has two kids, but still does contemplate a third. I feel for you and hope this helps.
I had horrible pregnancies. From 7 dpo on I was throwing up everyday pretty much and ended up with gestational diabetes and was in and out of the hospital for preterm labor. I spent the last 4 wks of both pregnancies on strict bedrest with meds pumping through me and being seen by a Dr atleast once a wk if not more. With my 2nd son his cord was around his neck causing the labor to stall after 24 hrs of contractions that took my breath away and dialating to 6 cm then after 4 hrs they started back up again and I finally had him.
WIth all of that I would still go through it all again for another child.
You already know that once you see/hold that little baby you’ll say, “Oh – I’d do it all over again.” ha ha ha
You will forget (in a sense) the bad stuff and do it again…..
I know 3 people that had this problem and stayed with just having two children. The kids you have need a mom more than you need yet another baby. I would not go with permanent sterilization, but yes, I would look at long term birth control options.
Most women I’ve talked to have had different experiences with each pregnancy. Although, I know one woman who had three kids even t hough she was on bedrest for over four months with every one of them! Phew…
I think after the baby is born you could change your mind again. You may not, but you never know. I had terrible, terrible deliveries and post-partum issues and still (to my utter surprise) wanted a third. So you never know.
And good luck with this one, hopefully you’ll feel better soon!
I hate hate hate being pregnant because I get so sick, but the good outweighs the bad. Kids are the bomb and such a blessing. 2 however is a good number. In 10 years you will be so thankful for your children, and you will think about how lame it was to decide whether to have another child based on how sick you got during pregnancy.
Are you eating well (healthily) and taking your vitamins? Have you told your doctor? Are you on anti-nausea medication? Are you eating enough?
Hun if you are that miserably sick wiht morning sickness there are several medications they can give you to ease the nausea that are safe during pregnancy. I know exactly how you are feeling since I’ve been there…I was sick past 6 months with my son and I am currently 31 weeks with my daughter. Luckily the nausea went away at about 16 weeks this time around. I get severe morning sickness both times and was given promethezine this time around. It’s an antihistimine with a side effect of blocking nausea. If you do get meds be sure to take the meds before your nausea starts or the pill will come back up before it can start working.
I have decided this is the last baby, but not due to the morning sickness. I get severe sciatica. This time it started before I even hit the first trimester and I’m pretty much stuck on bedrest because of it. Also I developed pre-eclampsia the first time around and we’re getting close to it happening again this time. With the health risks associated with that I don’t want to risk a third pregnancy. I also personally feel that 2 children is perfect for me.I’ve got one for each hand. LOL considering how rambunctious my son is I don’t want to have more then I can keep a hand on!
yes, sickness is normal
