  1. it seems alright I use it. I switched from similac too! I mostly breastfeed, she only gets formula once or twice a day.

  2. We use it and it has been great. Some of the percentages vary slightly from Similac, but it was a comparison chart on its label that you can look at if you are concerned about it at all. Parent’s Choice with DHA and ARA is the equivalent to Similac Advance. I personally prefer the Parent’s Choice with out the dha and ara though, but gain, that is a personal choice. The only problem I’ve had is that my local Walmart has a hard time keeping it in stock. We live in a young community with lots of babies and the shelves are cleared pretty fast.

Since all formula in North America is regulated by the same health standards, it’s pretty much the same no matter which brand you buy. There are only slight differences in each brand, usually in the extra additives they have such as iron. The only way to really know if it will agree with your son is to try it out.

  4. Really read the back of the can and compare the two. I know on one of them the store brand had better nutrients in it then the name brand. Also.. check to see where it is manufactered. In most cases it’s from the same plant as the “top f the line” brand

my son has GER (reflux) and the parents choice was really bad for him,, i mean, he threw it up the worst… i feed similac advance, i know its expensive, but you can go register at similac.com, and get 5 dollar off coupons…but the parents choice is fine too, mine just couldnt handle it

  6. Yes!!! It’s just perfectly fine. When my daughter Sydney was born in September, I remember saying I was ONLY going to buy her the best brand of formula and buy the ready made…well that didn’t take very long for me to get off that band wagon…so I switched to Similac Advanced with DHA and ARA. Well, then when I realized that we were going through 1 tub every 9 days, and the tub is $22 I thought..hmm…this has GOT to change!!! So I’ve been using Parent’s Choice Milk Based Lipids DHA & ARA and it’s fine. My daughter didn’t even notice a difference and it’s soooo much easier on my wallet. I would recommend Parent’s Choice to anyone. I wouldn’t give just anything to my daughter, and it’s what we’ve been using now for 2 months.
