How Is Your Baby Doing On The Baby Cereal & Food?
I just started my 5 & 1/2 month old on baby jar food, he has been on baby cereal about 2 weeks already, all is going well so far. No issues, just curious how other mom’s are making out with their baby. Is there any food your infant does not like? What is your feeding schedule like?

My son wasn’t a big fan of baby cereal or purees, and barely ate a thing. I never did try the stuff in a jar. He wouldn’t even eat the homemade stuff. It was so frustrating. At about 8 months, when he started refusing purees altogether, I started to give him solids cut up in cubes. It’s been smooth sailing ever since!
I’ve been putting cereal in her milk since 3 months and baby food since 4 months. She loves it, but she absolutely HATES peaches! I don’t know why and she’s not too big on peas but she loves applesauce, green beans, bananas, squash, etc. I usually give her a bottle in the morning, some food and apple juice for brunch, another bottle after lunch time, some baby food and water in the mid afternoon, and another 2 bottles after that (the last bottle is with cereal so she can sleep well). But I don’t know if this is right, I just kept experimenting with schedules and this one works the best for me. Good luck!
My son is 6 months old and he’s been on cereal since 6 weeks and baby food since 4 months. He love it! He eats baby food for a mid-morning snack and again for a late afternoon snack. He averages anywhere from 1-2 jars a day. He love the Stoneyfield Farm YoBaby yogurt. I just introduced that this week. The only baby food that he doesn’t really like is squash (funny, that’s what I started him on…) He is still on formula; all in all, he’s doing great!
In the beginning all my baby would eat was cereal or fruits. She hated all veggies except sweet potatoes. She wouldn’t eat much baby food at all so I gave her the kind she likes. She’s now 10 months old and will eat almost anything. She hates anything with beef in it, but all veggies are good and she’s good with pork or poultry. Good luck!
My baby does not eat baby cereal. The one time I tried giving it to her, she developed major gas problems and her defecate changed quite a bit. She seemed uncomfortable. Never again. So I can’t say she liked the baby cereal. My baby’s not too much into food right now, but we’re trying to change that…
My son is 11 months and will not eat solids. He has a lot of allergies (dairy, egg, mango, banana) which may have contributed to that fact. He is still just breastfed, though I give him different foods to try on occasion, he does not eat them.
baby cereal has a lot of iron added.
For most babies that’s not a problem, but my son apparently seems to get constipated easily so I had to stop giving baby cereal!
He’s on regular oatmeal and he’s doing great!
I made carrots for my 4 1/2 month old yesterday it was his first time didnt care much for it and spit everything out prefers the breastmilk I guess so I will try again in a month.
