How Long Did Your Babies Use The Swing And Bouncer?

Kaitlyn is pulling at the bar in the swing & stopping it and can flip out of her bouncer, not all the way but she turns and touches the floor. I usually put it in the bathroom when I shower so I can watch her but she’s 8 months old just really mobile.

  1. I have always taken my kids out of things like swings, bouncers, jumperoos around 5 months. I think around 5/6 months they should be spending more time on the floor. Most things like swings and bouncers have a weight limit, and most babies hit that limit around 5-7 months give or take a few depending on child.
I would check the weight limit on your swing and bouncer( the swing I have the weight limit is 15lbs the bouncer I have is 20lbs), she might be getting to heavy for them. Would hate to see her get hurt.

  2. My daughter didn’t like the swing early on. She was at least a month old before she’d tolerate it and was done with it by 3-4 months.
We introduce the Jumperoo and exersaucer around that time. We can occasionally get her to play in them at 8.5 months, but she hasn’t used them on a regular basis for over a month.
In other words 2-3 months each. Thank god they were hand-me-downs instead of crap we bought new!!

  3. My first born only used a swing for about 2-weeks. They never had bouncers when my kids were small.
However, all three of my kids spent a lot of time in the play pen…they loved it.
By the way, I took showers when the kids were sleeping.

  4. I think it was like 6 months for both the swing and the bouncer (you mean the chair bouncer, right?) I think he used the Jumperoo for a little bit longer, maybe like 8 mos.

  5. swing – birth- 4 months
    jumperoo – 3-6months
she could crawl at 6 months and so then refused to be put in something where she couldnt be mobile anymore so then the jumper went lol

  6. my used to swing and bouncer at the age of 6-7months .
