How Much Infant Tylenol Can I Give My Daughter? She Is 10 Months And Weighs 21lbs?

That depends on whether you live in the US or Canada.
However the actual dosage of tylenol (not the liquid the actual drug) is 7mg per lbs. So a 21lbs baby gets 147mg. But with the way most weight range charts go they use the lower weight to the dosage you see on the box is actually for a 17ish lbs baby.
In the US (tylenol brand contains 80mg of tylenol per .8mL) to get that dosage you need 1.2mL(per chart)-1.5mL(per calculation) of the infant drops:http://askdrsears.com/html/8/t089101.asp
In Canada (tylenol brand contains 80mg per 1mL) to get that dosage you need 1.5mL(per chart) to 1.8 (per calculation)http://tylenol.ca/english/product_detail…
If you have a different concentration its:
120mg/mg of tylenol listed * amount of liquid listed
So for 80mg per 1mL strength its
147/80 * 1 = 1.8mL
For 80mg per .8 its:
147/80 *.8 =1.5mL
;)
PS Of course you can always give less.
Secondly if you want a professional opinion on medications of ANY kind then you should call a pharmacist not a doctor. Firstly they are better trained, and have all the resources at their fingertips. Secondly they aren’t going to take all day to answer you questions. You can either call or drop in.

  1. it doesn’t matter the age it’s the weight, with 21 lbs I believe .6 ml but most only say .4 or .8 I know for a fact .4 is fine. My daughter is 18 lbs (6 months) and I give her .4 still. It seems to do the trick with any shots or teething problems. If you notice .4 hasn’t done anything in 3 hours, call your doctor and see if you can give her .8.

  2. Well I give my son 1 mL and he is 11 months and is 23 lbs. But I would absolutely call and ask my doctor before giving her the medicine. Your doctor will be able to tell you an exact amount you should give to her. Believe me you dont want a professional opinion from people on here. good luck!!

  3. call your pediatrician and ask them not someone who is not qualifies to answer this. Someone could say something else and could harm your child. Contact your daughter’s pediatrician and ask a nurse there it doesn’t cost anything and it will the best answer to your question.

  4. I think it’s .8, but I would call just to be sure. If you can’t call your doctor then call a local pharmacy, the pharmacist will have the exact same chart.

  5. That’s going to depend on whether they are concentrated drops or regular. To be safe, call the doctor. They can give you a dosing chart for both tylenol and motrin (in all the various forms).

  6. I just asked my Daughter who i an RN and she said to carefuly read the label because the strehngths can varriy. OK to give less but never more than the bottel recomendations

  7. Going by her weight she should have 1 1/2 droppers full (120 mg) of the infant kind. You go by weight not age.

  8. Read the bottle:
    My 9 month 23 lbs son usually take 0.8 + 0.4.

  9. my daughter is 7 months and weighs 20 lbs and the doc told me to giver her 0.8+0.4

  10. my son is 10 months and weighs about 19 lbs. he takes .8
