  1. Has she been napping recently or was someone holding her so one cheek was resting on them and the other cheek exposed to the air. Many babies have reddness on the areas they lay on, her one cheek may have been on the sheet and the other not. If it does not go away in an hour or so take her temperature. How is she acting, is she acting normal?
If she has a HIGH FEVER or is ACTING UNNATURAL or the reddness does not go away after a few hours you might want to call the pediatrician. It may be nothing, but it doesn’t hurt to call.

  2. Call the doctor immediately, or an emergency room. Red + heat means infection usually. The only time this may not be true is if your baby just got up from sleeping and the heat and redness faded quickly. Do not hesitate as an infant is so delicate that an infection can quickly run rampant and get out of control.

not sure?cant wait to talk to your family docter? call your local emergency room ask for the maternity ward. they can answer your question they were a life saver for us after we had are son. trust me your daughter didnt even have to be born their to get the answers you need. (theirs a nurse or a midwife always on duty for this reason.) they might be able to pin point her condition,OR TELL YOU TO BRING HER IN! sorry for my poor grammer and spelling : /

  4. Call your child’s pediatrician. Don’t ask for medical advice for an infant on a public internet forum.

  5. i know you can’t get the best advise on here, but my daughter was like that one night and i got freaked out, i took her temp, called my doctor and everything. they told me that it could be a numerous amount of things, but to apply baby face lotion, and if the baby’s temp is fine then it’s usually not anything. i usually apply the face lotion when i feel my skin getting really dry (mainly during winter) and everything was fine.
