What Is Normal Breathing When It Comes To A 2 Month Old Infant?
My baby sometimes breaths very fast and then goes back to normal. Okay,so I read that this is normal ( tell me if it’s not ). But my 2 month old also grasps for air sometimes and this scares the hell out of me. And he wheezes too. Could this be some sign of breathing problems?
My daughter is also two months old and i spent the night in the er because she was doing the same thing….we actually saw a infant pulmonary doctor and he said this is common in babies, espically if they are premature. He told us as long as she wasn’t turning blue and regained breathing in less than 20 seconds, it’s not to worry about. She still gasps for breath but gets out of it quickly. I would still call your ped. cause it could also be a sign of apnea. He also explained to us the babies breath in an on on off pattern, and usually they grow out of it by 6 months.
i would say the weezeing is you know my son had breething problems all along and i didnt know till he got bronchitisthe drs said his heavy breathing which comeforted me cause icould listen to him breath while he slept was not normal but then again every baby is different so see your doctor for the best answer
it could be a heart murmur ,my daughter had the same symptoms,but usually they aren’t that big a deal the doctor told me thye can just go away as the child gets older if its not that bad…or it could be nothing and your just worrying…hope this can help in some way
It could be an early sign of asthma, I would contact your physician to schedule an appointment just to be safe.
take him to the doctor and tell them what you just told us he could have problems breathing, but don’t wait to long, if he stops breathing to long he might not be able to catch his breath again.
Classic asthma symptoms, in asthma, baby’s bronchi could be blocked with mucous, therefore he cannot get the air out. This is where gasping and weezing come into play. Or perhaps he has cold. Try elevating his matress to help secetions drain. As far as the unequal breathing, baby’s this young do not know how to breath from their tummy and take shorter, sometimes rapid breath to blow off extra CO2 that is built up. Please see your doctor!!!!
Gasping for air and wheezing doesn’t sound normal, unless if you’re seeing something that’s just fast breathing then normal breathing, I’d take the baby to the pediatrician to be sure.
