Best for what? would be my first question. There are a few things that you might want to consider:
Do you want a seat that is also a carrier ie. has a handle (Group 0/0+), or one that stays in the car (Group 0-1)?
Do you want a seat to clip into a pushchair chassis and form part of a travel system? If so check those out as most only fit a limited range of chassis.
Do you want an isofix base, a non-isofix base, or neither? Many of the major brands now offer Isofix bases. Maxi Cosi offer both isofix, non-isofix bases and the Cabriofix fits easily on it’s own (the Creatisfix is a fiddly bugger though).
Bothered about choice of colours? If so the Maxi Cosi Cabriofix comes in a huge range. Recaro Young Profi Plus comes in 8 colours and 2 types of fabric.
Want a removable washable cover? Most do but some don’t.
It’s very much a subjective thing, but you’re on a safe bet with brands such as Britax, Recaro, Maxi Cosi, Graco, Mamas n Papas.
For what it’s worth; I wanted a seat that fit easily without a base (but had one available for later), was nice and comfy with plenty of padding, looked good and not too expensive- so bought a Recaro, or rather I bought 2 for the twins! Hope this helps.
There are a ton of great infant car seats on the market. When my child was little I had the Graco Snugride. It received excellent reviews and my son and I were really happy with it. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an Infant car seat.
When looking for my car seat, I used the website “Findmycarseat”, try googling that. It was really helpful to me. Not to mention, you can sort by categorys and with one of them, you can sort by infant car seats. That might help you out a little bit!
Hope this helps!
That really depends on what your price range is and what you’re looking for. I use Graco car seats and they are great also you need to take your vehicle into account you need to make sure it will fit some car seats are too big for certain cars. Also the most expensive doesn’t mean the best they just have either better comfort or easier to use. Just do a lot of research and check out reviews.
My husband I I put the Graco My Ride 65 car set on our registry. Our friends who already have kids (this is our first) told us that their little ones outgrow the travel systems too soon. The my ride 65 carries a child (minimum of 5 lbs) up to 65 pounds. It’s basically an infant seat, toddler seat & booster seat all in one. It also allows your child to be rear facing longer. I’ve heard that Babies R Us will allow you to take the car seat (demo model) out to your car to see if it fits & if you can easily install it. Good luck!
i have an evenflo one, it was about 50 bucks, honestly i wouldn’t spend alot on an infant carseat they use it maybe 6 or 7 months, splurge on a convertible carseat because those are used from 5 to 40 some to 65 pounds.
Well,I don’t know which is the best. But Chicco has good ratings. I don’t have that brand. I have an Evenflo. It works good for me. Came with a stroller(a travel set)
