What Is The Best Thing For Infant Ezema( Five Months)?

my husband has eczema and has a prescription lotion for it but cant use it if he is going to be holding our baby anytime soon. so he will use either nivea, cetaphil, or aquaphor. We use nivea on our sons butt at every diaper change to prevent diaper rashes, and it hasnt failed us in five months!

  1. I always used aveeno lotions and soaps for my girls . The doctor prescribed a steroid free ointment for them too. I believe it was called elidel. Also bathing them every day is too often because it dries the skin out more. And don’t use any soaps lotions etc.. with perfumes or fragrances on the baby or anything that is going to come in contact with baby’s sensitive skin.

  2. Very Good Information.. Good Luck!

  3. Try sea or epson salt in the bath followed by an oatmeal lotion.

  4. My son’s pediatrician recommended Cetaphil and Aquafor lotions. I’ve been using the Cetaphil for a few days and his eczema is looking better. If you and/or the baby’s father have allergies and/or asthma, eczema tends to go along with it. If you’re concerned, talk to your pediatrician.

  5. My niece has eczema and her dr. told my sis to use Eucerin “Aquaphor”, my sis swears by it. I’ve used it myself on my daughter (she has it, but not that bad) and myself and I think it’s great. It’s a little bit on the greasy side but it works. Also my dr. told me to use .5% Cortizone cream on my daughter when she has it so bad that her skin is rashed.
