My 5-month olds are STILL blue as ever – dad’s are dark brown and mine are green.
Our dear friends have two sons (2 years old and 7 months old), both with blue eyes, and the parents both have dark brown eyes….
my daughters went form slate blue to green to brown at about 8 months but a friend of mines son’s eyes didn’t change till he was almost 1yrs old. what ever color I’m sure they will be very beautiful!

In your case, your child is likely to have brown eyes. Brown is the most dominant gene, green is the most recessive gene.
In your friends’ case, I would bet that at least one of the kids’ grandparents have brown eyes. The dominant gene doesn’t take over 100% of the time. It can skip over generations, though. One of the blue-eyed friends has blue eyes but is a carrier for brown eyes.
