Risks Of Being An Electronic Technician While Pregnant?
I am not pregnant yet, but I am worried that once I become an Electronics Technician, or work with Electronics that I wont be able to work and be pregnant. I know that soldering is not healthy to do while pregnant, but my question is would there be any other aspects of the job that would be harmful to a pregnant woman/baby? If I worked as an Electronic Technician and found out I was pregnant could they fire me because I couldn’t do the required work? Are there any safety gear out there that allows for pregnant women to still work with electronics. Basically I’m looking for anyone who has any serious information regarding this topic, or even personal experience? I enjoy Electronics and would love to work with them but not if it means I cant become pregnant, I choose having kids over a career any day
Not sure why soldering would be a problem, we don’t use flux like plumber’s do. It’s mostly silver. Not toxic. If the smell bothers you wear a mask. And I can not think of any reason that being pregnant would be a problem, I’ve known several lady techs who worked while pregnant.
