How did you and your significant other decide it was time to have a baby? how did you plan? what ws going on in your life?did you make the right choice. My man is getting old and I have baby fever. what time is “the right time?” I already have a 2 1/2 year old (unplanned) and I don’t know anyone who had a planned baby!
ok here is the situation. I am 24 and am disabled, I have been with my boyfriend for 3 years almost and I really want to start a family with him. I am just about to finish my degree, and I want to train to become a counselling psychologist, which will mean a few more years of study and training and things. My boyfriend is out of work at the moment and is finding it hard to gain employment. Ultimately though he wants to go into PC repair and is studying for this. At the moment my disability is good enough for me to be able to have a baby in relative safety and im worried that if I wait until the “proper” time to have a baby (after I have trained and been in a job long enough to get paid maternity leave) I will have a set back and ill have missed the opportunity.
Am i being totally selfish?
I bought one for my infant granddaughter at a garage sale (to use as a spare for grandma’s car)and my daughter in law says I need to be aware of an “Expiration Date” on the back of the seat. Is this true and how seriously do I need to take this?
Is this wording rude for a shower invitation?
I want the invite to serve the dual purposes of both inviting the guests and educating them about what type of thing to buy for this “green” baby shower. But I don’t want it to sound like a greedy gift grab. Please help me fine tune this!

I want to use music cds and lullabies to help my baby learn to self-settle and get himself off to sleep, but don’t want him to become dependent on it (ie have to be restarting the music all the time). What’s the best way to use music as part of the sleep-time routine? Any knowledge/tips/advice would be great.

HELP! I am siting at the bottom of a huge mountain of things to do before Christmas and I don’t know where to start! I live in CT and we just got pounded with snow and today is quite bad weather too so I can’t get out to finish Christmas shopping… and I need to get a grab bag gift ($20) for a Christmas party I’m going to Sunday. My house looks like romper room, I have crafts from making Christmas presents (many still incomplete) all over the dining room, I haven’t even wrapped any presents yet, and my kitchen is covered in baking/cooking supplies and organic grains, veggies and legumes because I just started making home-made baby food for my daughter! I haven’t put up the tree yet and with it being my daughter’s first Christmas I HAVE to have a tree for pictures, etc. (Right now I don’t even know where I would put it because my house is such a disaster! On top of all that I have to fill out and mail over 60 Christmas cards! My mom and sis are out of town for the weekend so I can’t call for help. Oh, AND I’m having Christmas dinner at my house this year and haven’t even started the grocery shopping for it! HELP!!! I am so overwhelmed right now I just want to scoop up my 8 month old daughter and go take a long nap until Christmas is over! Any suggestions (besides the obvious – get my butt off the computer and get to work, LOL) BTW – I’m taking a break. Wow I just realized I’m so busy I didn’t even get my little chocolate piece out of my advent calendar for the past 2 days… And I love chocolate!!! Where do I start. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

My daughter is 11 months old, and she just plays with the spoon when we have meals. I feed her with a spoon and I let her have another spoon. I have tried putting a little bit of food on HER spoon and show her how to put it in her mouth, but she still just dumps it or throws it or something. I think it’s messy but adorable. When should she start using her spoon in the correct way?
My Y is telling me that I need a swim diaper and rubber pants. Where do you even get rubber pants for a baby?!?!
