Facebook album names for pictures of when you were a todler/baby/younger?

I can’t think of any good album names for pictures from when i was a baby/toddler and younger than i am. Some of my friends have really good original names like “diaper days” or “the age of princesses, magic, and the seven dwarfs” just something like that and not- “younger” or “baby” anyone have any ideas?

Is it okay to start prenatal vitamins during the 10 week of pregnancy?

I have been pregnant for about 10 weeks and I have been unable to start prenatal care because of insurance issues. I want may baby to be healthy as possible. So if I start prenatal care during the 10 weeks, will my baby still be healthy during the rest of the pregnancy?

Very excited…..how did you go buying all what you needed for your baby?

Yesterday I got our pram. And it was EXACTLY what I wanted. A sturdy three-wheeler good for walking with the option of adding another seat for if I have two little ones needing to be put in the pram. Also with bonus rain cover and it is in as-new condition, second hand!

I’m rapt!

Originally the few prams I looked at for their attributes were a bit too expensive, so I’m so happy I found what I wanted and second hand.

So my question is this, have you ladies bought all that you wanted for the baby, – furniture, pram etc – and feel content with what you were able to get? With the quality and what you could afford?

Did you buy second hand furniture and other items to get what you needed?

So far we have beautiful second-hand furniture and now the pram and I couldn’t be happier. And I was so worried I wouldn’t get a pram I would like because of the cost of the ones I originally liked.

So I have a mix of new and second-hand here :-)

Hope you’re all having as much fun buying for your baby as I am! X
Laura and Dragonfly girl – yep I’m SOOOOO rapt with my pram. I was so worried as what I wanted was a bit expensive, because I had only seen a few prams that I liked, and they were too expensive – as you know by my question yesterday! LOL

Hubby came home from work and said, put your shoes on, I’m taking you baby shopping and that’s what happened!

Ladies – sounds like you have some WONDERFUL bargains so far. I also have some hand-me-down clothing too for Bubs, though I’m not sure how much of it I will need as I got a massive barrel of them. If we have a girl, most of it I couldn’t use as it was boy clothing but I was so excited to be given it!

So the last big item I really need now is the carseat – oh, and a car – YEP! Other than that – just bottles (got some), nappies, towels, washers, pacifiers etc. And a baby bag is on layby, and need a hospital bag and to fill it. Plus more. So much to think of!

A few questions on leaving your baby with grandparents?

I have a 61/2 mo precious daughter, and was just wanting to know a few questions, as I am 50/50 on whether to leave her with her grandparents (when she’s weaned off the breast, she’s fully breastfed and has never taken a bottle, I want to go until 1 year) My MIL doesn’t like mine and my partner’s routine we have for our daughter (we use responsive crying method with her sleep) so I don’t want her to abuse the method and routine we use. We have had a heated arguement about this last weekend, and her bossiness. (my partner is a only child, and his real father died when he was 2, and has a “step” dad if you can call it, his mum is not married to him) I also know that my mother won’t follow the routine even though she is much more easier to get on with than my MIL, anyway my mum, she’ll probably just spoil my daughter rotten, and not want to hear her crying if she’s overtired. . . My parents are divorced, so if I also take her to grandpa’s house I’m not sure how he’d handle her being 54, and wanting time to himself.

So, How old was your baby/child when you first left your baby with their grandparents?
Did they follow your routine (if you had one) and did they have baby furniture (like a cot/portacot) at their house ready for your son/daughter,
or did you have to bring some equipment with you?

(sorry for long post! lol)
thx
c c: Sorry, didn’t mention, I was thinking overnight, but I’m reluctant to leave her at anyone’s place this young.

Cohens Mum: I agree, I’m anti cry it out/ feberberizing, I understand ‘responsive crying’ is still a form of CIOq, it isn’t as bad. I had to take my 6 1/2mo daughter with my partner to a sleeping clinic for almost a week. The qualified nurses train babies/toddlers for sleeping problems. My child health nurse refered me to the clinic, because my daughter was waking every 1-2hrs at 5 months still breastfeeding to sleep, she always used to use the breast as a sleeping aid for herself, and as a result was overtired, and WAY hyperactive, she got cranky because she didn’t get no longer than about 1hrs worth of sleep, now she sleeps 12hrs in her own cot (she was also co-slept) and seems happier and not always hyperactive, so responsive crying does work for us most of the time. I’ve tried ferberizing (it was my partners idea not mine) for only 15mins and couldn’t cope!
responsive crying also is putting your baby down when she is clean, fed, burped, bathed (at night), everything else. . . when she starts to cry after we have followed her cues it is usually an overtired cry, so we put her in her cot and then leave the room, if she is crying excessively or escalates we’ll walk in a comfort her, we won’t leave her there to cry, or go by the clock like feberizing does (no disrespect to people that do this method!) normally she is asleep within 10mins, of course I wouldn’t leave her there no longer than 30mins because that wouldn’t be right by all means.

When did you start getting pregnancy symptoms and what were they?

I have been feeling nauseous, headaches, dizzy, painful boobs, crampy.
This morning I had this terrible shooting pain down my inner thigh.
