Is This What Medicaid Amounts To In Many Cases?

If someone has a little baby, and the person is crying about needing Medicaid, isn’t that person basically saying, “Hey my baby doesn’t have any food, those evil people next door won’t feed him.”

My Sister’s Infant Has Tortocollis And…..?

I spoke to one of my sisters today and she told me that a Dr diagnosed her baby with tortocollis.
But my sister has other concerns… The tortocollis would explain her flat spot on her head and stiff upper muscles but would it explain her total lack of strength in her lower body?
She’s in physical therapy and my sister does not feel it’s helping.
She is not as delayed in her mental development than she is in her physical. But she is not laughing, she recently started to smile.
But physically, she is not rolling, not sitting up and keeps her legs drawn up to her body like a little frog and she is very small for her age. But she also has digestive problems so I think that’s why.
She also can not push with her legs and if you try to stand her up her legs collapse instantly.
My sister was worried my niece has autism and was looking that up. But she only has one autism symptom that really stands out.
She has no control over her body yet and will often flap her arms out of control or go to move her hand to her mouth but hit herself in the side of the face… She said she read that babies with autism will flap their arms about…
But this is what worries me.
We looked up cerebral palsy and she has basically every symptom.
Every symptom…. It even describes problems with swallowing and breathing and around Christmas time she was taken to the ER for strange breathing.
She has no muscle strength, tone or control and is delayed on milestones…
But how early is too early to diagnose it?
And also, is it possible it really is just the tortocollis causing all the problems? How long will tortocollis take to work out?

The Meaning Of “i’ve Got You Under My Wing”…?

After a forest fire in Yellowstone National Park , forest rangers began their trek up a mountain to assess the inferno’s damage. One ranger found a bird literally petrified in ashes, perched statuesque on the ground at the base of a tree. Somewhat sickened by the eerie sight, he knocked over the bird with a stick. When he gently struck it, three tiny chicks scurried from under their dead mother’s wings. The loving mother, keenly aware of impending disaster, had carried her offspring to the base of the tree and had gathered them under her wings, instinctively knowing that the toxic smoke would rise. She could have flown to safety but had refused to abandon her babies. Then the blaze had arrived and the heat had scorched her small body, the mother had remained steadfast…because she had been willing to die, so those under the cover of her wings would live.

What Should I Do On My First Break From My Baby?

i have not been away fom my baby since conception. shes 11 1/2 months old. i am highly stressed out and not acting like myself andd im sick n tired of it!!! im demanding mommy time. i have to get away from her. obviously i love the crap out of her, but when you have a baby feeding off of you during pregnancy, basically attatched to your breast for months of its life, and consuming every second of your time and disturbing your sleep for who knows how long– even supermom needs a break. im thinking about a good long nap. what do you think

My Wife Doesn’t Want To Live With My Son??

We’ve been married since October, she has an 18yr old son and I ahve a 19yr old. We discovered she was pregnant jsut before the wedding and I was happy as my ex wife wouldn’t have more kids with me.
Her son went to live with her parents as he used to hit her (he was later diagnosed with depression due to his father trying to kill him and my wife). My son was going to live with me until he finishes his course this May then move to his mums (we have a tiny 2bed house).
Because my son goes to college part time and its not a degree or higher education I get tax credits & child benefit for him. As he’s only just turned 19 I found I can keep getting them if he decides to do an extra year. So for financial reasons I want him to stay with me, also the fact that he is my only family & I adore him. My wife suggested we get a bigger house but I said no to start with – because theres not enough room I thought it best she move out and we live together when my son decides to leave home. My wife was unhappy so I said I may consider a 3bed – but now she says no as it means I will claim the tax credit and child benefit for the baby. Due to the fact that I willl get more for my son (he’s the first child) I told her she’d have to make up the difference to match how much I get for my son out of her money.
My wife wants us to be a family but I can’t as my first responsibility is to my son – he could go to his mums but he is my only family and I don’t want to upset him.
I’m going on holiday on my own when my wife will be 32 weeks pregnant (I need to go and lie on a beach and get away from everything as I’m depressed). My wife said it’d be over if I went but I think she was angry.
Obviously my son is looking forward to having the house to himself when I’m away and having friends around. I hope my wifes house is ready then, or she can stay with family. She feels that this is teaching my son to disrespect her. She thinks that if I’m going on holiday alone, and turf her out then he will know that she isn’t a permanent fixture and has no rights. I don’t see it this way. I’m prepared now to look for a 3bed house but my wife has now said that she won’t live with my son if she is turfed out while I go on holiday and because she doesn’t want our child to grow up with our child seeing that she comes below my son. This is ridiculous – my son is my life and I’ve only been with her for a short time – I can’t put her first.
How do I get her to see that he is my priority?????

My Husband Gave Me A List Of Things To Do To Prepare My Body For Pregnancy But I Don’t Want To Do Them?

my husband and i decided we would like to start trying soon. i would love to have a baby this year. i’m 22 yrs old and i read the healthiest babies are born to mothers 17-22. so i dont want to leave it too late. especially as my husband is a bit older. anyway he’s a nutritonist and he gave me a list of things to do, he wants me to do this for a whole six months even before we start trying….. lol
1. I can’t eat any junk food, which means no chocolate :’( Also fast food, red meat, table sugar, salt, coffee and alcohol are all off limits.
2. I’m only allowed to eat organic food and I have to eat 8+ servings of fruits & veges everyday and 3+ servings of fish every week….. (i *hate* fish)
3. I have to take folic acid , multi vitamin, fish oil supplements
4. I have to exercise 6 days a week. My husband also wants me to gain 10 lbs because I’m only 100, but with the diet & exercise…. how is that possible??
5. I have to “cut off” my friend who’s husband is a smoker. I’m literally not allowed to see in person until the baby is born.
6. I have to throw away all my makeup and skincare products (because of the “toxic chemicals”). I’m only supposed to use toothpaste, soap, shampoo, and a few other essentials.
7. we have to hire a cleaner to clean the house because I can’t touch cleaning products (chemicals again).
8. and a weird one: I’m not allowed to go to the gas station to fill up petrol in my car.. lol
ive just summarized it , the actual thing is pages!
Do you think this is a bit over the top? By the way my husband already has two grown perfectly healthy sons and I bet his ex wife never had to go through any of this…. :’(

Questions About Infant’s Car Seats?

I may soon be caring for my 4½-month-old grand daughter while her parents work. If we do that, I would like to get a car seat for my car, so we don’t have to keep switching it in and out all the time. I know next to nothing about car seats! We weren’t required to use them with my kids.
I want to know how old she she should be before we go from rear facing to forward facing. I hope to get a convertible model that can do both, and will not have to be replaced too soon. I would appreciate recommendations for ones that would be easy for an uncoordinated grandma with back problems to deal with and use. I doubt that it matters, but I have a PT Cruiser with leather seats.
I know the safest location is the middle of the back seat, but that is about all I know. I welcome any and all tips from parents who are familiar with car seats. Thanks so much!
